Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. The Day the Crayons Quit. Class 1

In Class 1 we have been reading “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt. The children have enjoyed using the crayons to make up their own stories using small world and have talked about how the crayons feel. The children have also worked on writing their own letters to the crayons to make them feel better.
